During the a Great Depression and World War II, dictators such as Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin rose to power and helped get their country out of a depression and into a world war. All of the European dictators had similar character traits that helped them rise to power and gain complete control. One key attribute that these men had was that they were all good speakers. They were able to be persuasive in their speeches and grab attention of their audience. Before the war, the dictators gained many followers with their speeches, which helped them gain more control. They were also very strong minded. They fought the war with all the power and heart they had. A bad quality that these men had were that they were all ruthless killers. They did not care how many people they had to kill to get to power, even many of their own. They had anyone who opposed their ideas executed so they could gain full control. Because of their very strong attitudes, these dictators eventually pulled themselves into a deadly war
